Erato Alakiozidou ‘in blue and white’

Yesterday, Wednesday, October 15th, 2014 at the ‘Licinio Refice’ Conservatory in Frosinone, took place the performance by Erato Alakiozidou, greek pianist from Thessaloniki, actively involved in the promotion of works by composers of his native land between 20th and 21st centuries.
Title of the concert ‘Pictures in blue and white’ , that gave us the opportunity to listen to the works of Yannis Konstandinidis, Nikos Skalkottas, Yannis Papaioannou, Nikos Astrinidis, Manos Hatzidakis, Theodore Antoniou, Georges Couroupos, Calliope Tsoupaki and Giorgos Koumendakis.
An interesting journey through the Mediterranean sounds, ethnic rhythmic dances, lyrical and aphoristic episodes; a kind of music that combines features of the current music with the traditional folk heritage in a coherent and skillfull manner. Very nice.
